The concept

After discussing options with the owner in our showroom, they settled on The Calista, a suspended wood burning fireplace from JC Bordelet with a space age design. We created a 3d render (a service provided on all our installations) to show the fireplace in their home prior to install.

The installation

It was ultimately decided that a wall-mounted Calista was the best option to suit the build and wall behind the fireplace. Due to limited access to the property, the fireplace had to be delivered on the opposite side of the estuary, then delivered via boat, winched onto the property and winched up through the scaffolding. Overall, tidal considerations had to be made prior to the install on the day, but as always, the fireplace was safely delivered into the home.

The end result

This fantastic home is still in the process of being finalised and improved even further by the builders, so photographs of our fireplace in the finished home are to follow, likely in 2026. Below you can see the astounding wall-mounted Calista roaring away after our installation.
