Suspended EVA in a custom-built home

A home designed around a stunning fireplace, and the very first of its kind in the UK: the suspended EVA.

The process

When we were initially approached by the client for this project, we were amazed to hear that they were planning to design their custom-build home around a Caleo supplied and installed fireplace.

The space was designed for the fireplace to suspend right in the centre of the room, with colourful furniture surrounding the stunning orange fireplace, making for a warm space to unwind in the evenings, with a view overlooking the local scenery.

The install

On the day of installation, we overcame the challenge of lifting the fireplace onto the second storey of the building, for which a telehandler on site lifted the 150kg fireplace into the balcony, before our installation team moved it into the lounge area.

Once installed, the client could enjoy this spectacular addition to their home in their living area, basking in the warmth of a log fire through the winter months…
