This fabulous Electric effect fireplace is situated in a lounge area in Nottingham for student accomodation!
The Concept
When we were approached about a fireplace option for this open student space, an electric effect fireplace was our first port of call, knowing the EVA model offers:
Water vapour ‘flames’ to give an illusion of fire through intuative LED lighting.
No heat (ideal for public spaces where safety is paramount)
‘Choose your mood’ LED lights
The Install
Installed in the centre of a lounge area with a suspended canopy hood, this fireplace had its electric supply ran through 1m of concrete beneath the base and the hood suspended from a concrete ceiling. Even with no heat or chimney to consider, we treated this project with care and consideration, just like any other. See the images below of the fireplace being installed.
Finished project
Once installed, the electric effect fireplace provided ambience and elevated the space with the classic style of the JC Bordelet EVA design… As this is an electric fireplace, the students using this fireplace can pick their mood with various LED colours available, and chosoe to enjoy the water vapours, or just the warm inviting glow of the realistic logs.
