SandiLodge is a holiday home in the historic centre of the extremely picturesque town of Sandwich, in south-east England. This luxury holiday option sits near the Sandwich & Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve and the ‘highly’ Royal Saint George’s Golf Club, making its location a hit with fans of nature and golf.
The lodge in detail…
The architect of this exceptional holiday home seems to have taken inspiration from cathedrals with their high ceilings and arched windows. Through the doors lies an impressive metal conservatory which serves as an entrance hall. Its double doors open into a large, completely open plan living area with an Eva central fireplace by JC Bordelet sitting in pride of place.
The lodge has a decidedly industrial style, with exposed black steel trusses, cast iron radiators, and a magnificent limestone staircase with industrial iron handrail leading up to the first floor and the bedrooms.
The living area is completely flooded with light thanks to vast glazed sliding doors that open onto a black limestone terrace, which provides a large space where you can have fun and enjoy the pretty walled garden.
And in the centre reigns the open fireplace…
The large living and dining rooms, with sun streaming through the veranda doors, provide a wonderfully pleasant place to relax. The ultramodern, practical kitchen features volcanic rock facades. The suspended metal fireplace is an open Eva 992 fireplace, one of JC Bordelet’s iconic designs, modestly painted in black and set on a metal plate to protect the floor.
A second living room is the television lounge, which can convert to a bedroom with two single beds and private en-suite. The three main bedrooms, all with double beds, are found upstairs. Two of those can convert to twin bed bedrooms on request. One bedroom has an en-suite. The generous family bathroom features a luxurious bath and separate shower.
With its ideal location, staying in this lodge means you can enjoy the pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops in Sandwich, as well as the Sandwich Bay coastline.
